Data collection officer
Position based in Sa’ada Governorate
Main responsibilities:
MDM is a medical NGO working in Yemen since 2007. The current programme aims at providing quality primary health care, either directly, or through public health facilities, in Sa’ada Governorate. In this programme, the data collection officer would be based at MDMs’ Sa’ada office in charge of data collection and electronic centralization.
Tasks:
• Follow up the data collection forms and their distribution to the field members
• Follow up the filled forms collection
• Centralize in an electronic format (Excel) the data
• Providing regular data reports to the Medical referent
• Realize regular data reports for the authorities and partners, under the supervision of the medical referent
• Conduct trainings and supervision regarding the data collection system
• Prepare and print the data sheets according to the teams needs.
• Organize the files and the archive of the hard data.
• Any other tasks requested by med referent.
Profile:
• IT qualification or similar
• At least 3 years of working experience compulsory
• Previous work experience with a humanitarian organization is an asset
• Medical background is an asset
• Ability to work in remote settings and under stressful conditions
• Arabic and English speaker
• Excellent Computer skills (excel essentially)
• Diplomacy, ability to communicate, relational skills
• Flexible attitude, to adjust to a different culture, medical context, political context.
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of Sa’ada governorate an asset
